The Mediterranean climate of this region means it's a good time to visit any time of year. Spring and autumn conditions are cooler and the best beach weather is in December, with summer temperatures between 25-35°C. The cooler winter months 10 - 15°C) are better for forest walks or a glass of wine by a log fire.

Climate

The region has a Mediterranean climate affected by dry winds from the north in summer and Antarctic fronts in the winter. Summers are dry and warm and winters wet with most rainfall between May and September. Daily maximum temperatures range from about 16 °C in winter to over 30 °C in the height of summer.
