Itinerary
Day 1: Your Rome to Venice Tour Begins!
Upon arrival, your personal assistant will pick you up at the airport gate and your private car will wait for you outside the airport gate to drive you to the hotel in Rome. In the afternoon, you'll discover Rome starting the tour from the city centre to discover the monuments and the palace of the Baroque period: Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and Piazza di Spagna. In the evening, dinner will be served at a Michelin guide restaurant.
Day 2: Vatican City & The Colosseum
Continue your Rome to Venice tour in the world’s smallest country and the centre of the Catholic World – the Vatican City. You will visit the impressive St. Peter’s square and Church, and explore the Vatican Museums, Raffaello’s rooms and the Sistine Chapel and continue the tour from Michelangelo’s Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill) where you can look out over the Roman Forum area and then head to the Imperial Forums and the ruins of the Colosseum.
Day 3: Learn to Cook like an Italian!
Today, you will learn how to cook the best Italian food. Your morning cooking class begins with a visit to Rome’s famous Esquilino market, where you’ll start learning about the rich traditions of Roman food and select the fresh, seasonal ingredients you’ll be using in the cooking lesson. Then you will go to a professional kitchen where you will learn how to prepare the dishes or pizza making. In the afternoon, you will discover how the real Italian Gelato is made in an ice cream making class.
Day 4: The Ancient Charm of the Etruscan Cities
On route to Castello Di Velona, you'll discover two extraordinary Etruscan towns: Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto. In northern Lazio, you will cross a narrow bridge to the fascinating hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio, built on a mountain of tufa rock, the city now accessible only by a long and spectacular pedestrian bridge. In Umbria, you will stop in Orvieto, famous for its Etruscan ruins as well as its Gothic cathedral and the excellent wines preserved in its underground cellars.
Day 5: Tuscany Countryside: Truffles & Wine
Tuscany offers myriad opportunities if you are looking to dive into a centuries-old culture immersed in beauty. Discover the splendours of the Tuscan countryside, the landscape of Chianti that looks like it was drawn by hand and the typical local products through culinary experiences. You'll start with your “Searching Truffle” an expert Truffle-gatherer of the San Miniato hills, and his dog, who will lead for a walk in the woods with them. You'll then visit a famous winery in the Chianti area.
Day 6: The Best of Florence's History
After arriving in Florence, your historical walking tour will start from Piazza della Repubblica square and lead you through the alleys of the medieval quarter to Palazzo del Bargello and Piazza della Signoria. You'll then continue to the Santa Croce Church, a gorgeous Florence church with frescs by Giotto, which houses the tombs of Michelangelo. Next, you'll visit the Accademia Gallery with the famous Michelangelo's masterpiece, The David, and finish with a stop at Uffizi Gallery.
Day 7: Discover Venice
Upon reaching Venice and after being escorted to your hotel by a luxury private boat, you'll enjoy a walking tour of the city. Venice’s charm lies both in its unique civil engineering achievements, and in the harmony of Eastern and Western artistic styles that have flourished here over the centuries. Your tour highlights include some of the major sites that define the look and history of Venice such as a visit to Doge's Palace, St Mark’s Basilica and St Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco).
Day 8: Murano & The Ancient Art of Glass-Making
Today, you will visit Murano by ferry from Venice. In Murano, you will see how the famous glass is made along with an expert glass connoisseur who will lead you through the closed doors of the glass master’s private studio. In the evening, you'll enjoy a leisurely gondola ride through the canals of Venice. Following your Gondola cruise, you will discover the unusual reality of this atypical city and in the meantime, the ride will end on the balcony of your restaurant.
Day 9: Goodbye Venice!
Sadly this is the end of your Rome to Venice tour. This morning, you'll say goodbye to Venice as your private boat arrives outside of your hotel to take you to Venice airport to catch your flight back home.
