Benvenuto in Italia! You'll tour southern Italy beginning in Rome, the heart of the ancient Roman Empire, the cradle of rich history and the birthplace of the Italian dolce vita. A private car with driver will pick you up at the airport to take you to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your leisure, so that you can rest after your long trip.
Day 2: Rome and the Vatican
The great architecture of Michelangelo and Bernini, the elegant art of Rafael and several other artists will be the protagonist of your day. A local designer guide will guide you around Rome center and in the afternoon to the main rooms of the Vatican museum, to the Sistine Chapel and to the majestic Saint Peter's Basilica. As alternative afternoon activity, you can decide to visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum instead.
Day 3: Pompeii and Amalfi
In the morning, hop on a high-speed train to Naples and from here a private driver will take you to Pompeii, where a guide will meet you. You will start an exciting exploration of the ruins of this fascinating Roman town destroyed by a volcano eruption. After the visit and some time at your leisure
for lunch, your driver will take you to Amalfi where you will have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. We'll provide suggestions on what to do.
Day 4: Day Trip to Capri Island
This morning you’ll continue to tour southern Italy on the Island of Capri, travelling the section of the sea where the mythological hero Ulysses heard the mermaids singing. You will have some free time to swim and explore the exclusive Capri Island on foot. You might walk the colourful alleyways to the heart of the island and the spectacular Natural Arch, or take a cab to Anacapri, higher up on the island. The boat will pick you up in the afternoon to head back to The Amalfi Coast.
Day 5: Free Day on the Amalfi Coast
Enjoy a full day at your leisure in the Amalfi Coast. Relax by the pool of your hotel, visit the hill villages, Ravello and Positano, or take an excursion to the Emerald Grotto. There are many activities you can do and we will provide plenty of suggestions. Some of the exclusive optional activities we can arrange are wine tasting, cooking class, guided walk of the Path of Gods and much more.
Day 6: Matera
Matera is a secret gem that only few travellers have the chance to see. Over the centuries, churches, dwellings, gardens and terraces were built, digging into the rock of the local canyon walls and challenging gravity! In the morning a private car with a professional driver will take you from Amalfi fo Matera. An expert local guide will lead you on a journey to discover this magical place, revealing its many secrets and showing you the famous movie sets that you may recognise.
Day 7: Alberobello and Bari
Today you will discover another Italian wonder: the Trulli of Alberobello. In the morning you will travel here by private car. You’ll enter an ancient village with narrow alleyways and the most picturesque buildings: white huts with conical roofs of the Trulli. Here you will have free time to explore some Trullo. After some time at your leisure in Alberobello, your driver will take you to Bari, where after check-in, a guide will meet you and show you the centre of this beautiful city.
Day 8: Depart
