During this trip, you'll first visit a city boasting nearly 2,000 years of history, León, whose history started when the Romans settled there in the 1st century. You'll also visit the UNESCO site, Las Medulas, the largest open sky mine of the Roman empire, locally known as 'Mars on Earth' and you'll also visit Ponferrada which will take you to the start of the Camino. Walking day by day you'll reach Santiago de Compostela, another historical city you'll love from which you can discover the area and its history. Later you'll fly to Madrid, the capital of Spain, where you'll visit some of the nearby historical cities such as Avila and Segovia, home to the world-famous Roman aqueduct.
