On this family holiday to Italy, you'll travel to Rome, Florence and Positano on a journey which will lead you through wonderful architecture, culture and of course, food!Beginning in Rome, you'll have three fun-filled days discovering the many monuments of this ancient city, trying speciality foods in local shops, trying your hand at making pizza and more! Moving onto Florence, you'll experience the Tuscan countryside and take part in a workshop where you'll learn to make your own fresco!In Positano, the final stop on your tour, you'll head out on a fun boat tour to see the stunning Amalfi Coast from a different perspective as well as a boat trip to the beautiful island of Capri

Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Rome!
Today, you'll arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport and meet with your private driver for your van transfer to your accommodation in Rome, San Calisto Residenza. After settling into your accommodation, you'll have the rest of the day to explore on your own. Your guide for this family holiday to Italy will provide you with an abundance of activities and places to visit.
Day 2: Classic Rome, Speciality Food Tastings & Guided Tour of Vatican City
Today, you'll meet your guide to explore classic Rome. You'll visit the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Via Vittorio Veneto, Piazza Navona and more. Then, your expert guide will take you to experience the life of a typical Roman by exploring the local markets and speciality shops in search of the finest gastronomic specialities of the city! In the afternoon, you'll be taken on a guided tour of the Vatican.
Day 3: Ancient Rome Tour & Optional Afternoon Activities
Today, you will tour Ancient Rome in a kid-friendly way for three hours exploring the most important sites of Roman culture, skipping the long lines and covering the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, with the history of gladiators! Your private guide will take you inside the Colosseum, the most famous monument in the world and an icon of Rome. In the afternoon, you'll be free to choose from a range of optional activities: Rome by Vespa, Pizza-Making Course or a Rome Food Tour!
Day 4: Rome to Florence
Upon arrival, you'll meet with your private driver at Florence train station and transfer towards your accommodation in Florence. After you have checked into your city centre hotel, you'll have the rest of the afternoon and evening free to spend as you wish. Your guide will of course offer recommendations of where to eat and what to see during your free time.
Day 5: Discover the Best of Florence
With your guide, you will take a walk to discover the ancient "Fiorenza"! You will visit Piazza del Duomo, Piazza San Giovanni, Giotto's Bell Tower, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza San Lorenzo and Piazza della Repubblica. During the tour, you will also get to know some artisans and visit laboratories such as gelato, leather, perfume and more. After a tour of the Accademia Gallery, you will spend some time in the Central Market of San Lorenzo.
Day 6: Chianti Wine Tour & Cooking Class or Tour of Pisa from Florence
Today, you'll embark on a full-day tour into the Chianti area, with its picture-postcard landscapes! During the tour, you will have a chance to visit one of the most renowned farms and wine producers, see their cellars and taste excellent wines. You will have a wonderful wine-Evo oil tasting, enjoy a small cooking class for kids and a superb light lunch! Alternatively, you can head to Pisa for the day to marvel at the monuments and get a picture with the famous leaning tower.
Day 7: Fresco Workshop & Free Time in Florence
This morning, you'll have the option to get creative with a fresco-making workshop which seems very fitting in the city of art! After a brief introduction on the history and technique of the fresco, touching all the materials of this fantastic technique by hand, you'll enter "the fresco" mood! You'll put on an apron, goggles and gloves and spread the first layer of mortar: the curl. You'll finish the workshop with a fresco you have designed and crafted!
Day 8: Florence to Positano via Pompeii
Today, you'll travel by train from Florence to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, you'll take a private transfer towards Positano with a two-hour stop at Pompeii. Pompeii is the most compelling archaeological site in Europe; in 79AD it was buried under 30 feet of volcanic ash after an eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius. The city lay undiscovered for 1500 years! You will also pass by Mount Vesuvius and your driver will explain all the story of this famous volcano!
Day 9: Amalfi Coast Boat Tour by Van or Private Car
A boat tour on the Amalfi Coast will give your family the opportunity to discover the Divine Coast in all its peculiar beauty and secret details that you would never be able to see from the land. During this excursion by boat, you will discover many caves, gorges, tunnels and cavities, many of which are still unexplored. Alternatively, you'll have the option to do an Amalfi Coast tour by private van (for an extra charge) to visit Amalfi, Ravello, Conca dei Marini, Praiano, Minori and Maiori.
Day 10: Discover the Beauty of Capri
Today, you will discover the beautiful island of Capri with a small group. The island of Capri is a living fairy tale for its wild nature and the spectacular views it gives to attentive visitors. Today you will discover the most scenic spots, famous and photographed, but you will also enjoy the unexpected beauty of hidden spots which are unexplored, small coves where we can stop for a swim in the outstanding cobalt blue waters! Onboard you will be offered some prosecco, typical cakes and music!
Day 11: Free Day in Positano & Transfer Back to Rome
On this day of your family holiday to Italy, you'll have free time to relax at your pool in Positano, head out to explore the town and surrounding area on your own or to take up an optional tour which can be arranged - the choice is yours. When you are ready around 3pm, your driver will collect you and take you to your hotel in Rome, just a short distance from the airport for your final night.
Day 12: Goodbye Italy
Today, when you're ready, your accommodation-arranged shuttle bus will take you to the airport ready for your departing flight.
