Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Northern Italy!
Upon arrival in Venice Airport, you'll be met by your driver who will take you in a private transfer to your hotel in Valpollicella. You'll settle in at your hotel and relax for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Day 2: Private Cycling & Wine Tour of Lake Garda
After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel, be ready for an active day at the famous lake. During the bike ride, you'll pass some of the area's castles and learn about other unique points of interest to locals. Your guide will lead you to a wine tasting at a family farmhouse with excellent views overlooking Lake Garda. You'll enjoy sampling local foods, including selections of Italian meats, cheeses, and olive oil, to complement the wine.
Day 3: Private Tour of Valpolicella Wine Region
Today, you'll enjoy a splendid day in the Veneto countryside to discover a very interesting wine region together with your private basic English-speaking driver and private vehicle for a full day excursion of eight hours. Valpolicella is the most famous red wine district in northeastern Italy's Veneto wine region. You'll enjoy a wine tasting today along with the visit of the wine cellars of one of the finest local winery.
Day 4: Journey to Parma Countryside & Verona City Tour En Route
After one last cappuccino over breakfast, you'll leave Valpolicella today and together with your private driver heads towards the Parma Countryside. Along the way stop in the fantastic city of Verona and enjoy a two-hour private guided tour. After, you can enjoy lunch in a typical trattoria where you may want to try some local specialities like risotto al’Amarone (risotto made with Amarone red wine) and then continue to your hotel where you will relax.
Day 5: Private Food Tour of Parma
Today, you'll embark on a private food tour including Parma ham, parmesan cheese and Modena balsamic vinegar. Plunge yourself into typical Emilian products. Enhance your Italian culinary experience by sharing knowledge and moments with our Italian food masters. All the producers are small and family-run, no industrial productions, so we can translate the words of the makers as it happens, and share with you the products that have made Parma’s renowned artisan culture over the centuries.
Day 6: Ferrari Experience in Maranello
For any motor enthusiasts, this is a must. The museum is extremely well-curated and is so well done as to be interesting even to non-motoring enthusiasts. The whole history is very well displayed, including the first Ferrari car and going right through history to the current production models. You will even get to see a reproduction of Enzo Ferrari’s office in Modena with much of the original furniture.
Day 7: Private Tour Parma, Moderna & Lambrusco Wine Production
Venture out today to explore the city of Parma and Modena. In Parma, you'll meet your English-speaking guide for a two-hour sightseeing tour. Stroll around the piazza at the heart of the city, and see the stunning 12th century Duomo di Parma and its pink marble baptistery. Then, your driver will take you to Modena where you will have some time at leisure. Continue your day to one of the best wineries in the Lambrusco area. You will tour this winery and be able to taste these particular wines.
Day 8: Travel to the Fantastic Langhe Region
This morning, you'll enjoy breakfast at your hotel and after a relaxing morning soaking up the beautiful surroundings, you'll check out. Then, together with your private driver and the private vehicle, you'll hit the road for almost three hours and reach the fantastic Langhe region where you'll be staying for the next three nights.
Day 9: Private Cooking Class & Barolo Wine Tasting
One of the delights of Italy travel is that every area has its own very distinctive cuisine; mention a region that you are going to visit an Italian and the chances are he will start to tell you about the type of food you are likely to find there. In the Langhe hills of Piedmont, you will learn to cook the finest dishes that the region is known for, you are in for a treat. In the afternoon, you'll set off on a panoramic tour through the hills and vineyards of the Barolo wine-growing area.
Day 10: Piedmont Truffle Hunting Experience & Travel to Milan
Mention the word 'truffle' and Italy immediately springs to mind and within Italy, Piedmont is the most famous area for producing this ‘hidden gold’. Today, a personal truffle hunt has been arranged for you, with a local designer and his dog, who know all the best spots for finding this elusive gem. When your haul is complete, you'll go back to the trifolao’s farmhouse in the centre of Montà village for a thematic special lunch with the truffle hunter and his family. Then, you'll travel to Milan.
Day 11: Departure Day
It's time to say goodbye to this Italy itinerary. This morning, you'll enjoy one last espresso coffee over breakfast and together with your private driver, you'll head towards Milan airport for your outbound flight.
