If you're looking for a luxury resort near Bali, Wakatobi should be among your top considerations. Getting there is as simple as flying to Denpasar. We take care of the rest.
Whether you’re snorkelling (or diving) our vibrant and protected coral reefs, enjoying a rejuvenating spa treatment, taking in a glorious sunset with your favourite cocktails at the jetty bar, or perhaps indulging in a romantic beachside dinner, Wakatobi Resort provides a unique and enriching experience that blends recreation, relaxation and privacy.
Come discover our tranquil refuge where comfort and ultimate service are exceeded only by unparalleled experiences with nature among breathtaking natural surroundings and coral reefs.
A charter flight whisks you there in time for lunch. Ask us to arrange an overnight for you in Denpasar. The next morning, we will transfer you to the private departure lounge at the airport for your Private Charter Flight which will be 2.5 hours (1,000 km) on a 70-seat ATR-72 600 aircraft providing generous luggage allowances. We take care of you from the moment you touch down in Bali, guiding you through immigration and customs and helping you to collect your checked-in luggage - from that moment forward, everything is taken care of, so you can enjoy the worry-free trip of a lifetime. And we’re always thinking of ways to make your stay even more convenient and enjoyable.
On arrival at the island, airport guests are transferred by a short 4WD and boat ride (approximately 40 mins) to the resort for arrival in time for lunch. This transfer is handled seamlessly by the island team and the transfer logistics are reversed on departure day.
All trips are tailored to your individual needs ... so please ask us. We have a range of pricing options from our luxury palm cottages to the two bedroom villa (pictured).
There are a range of additional activities including:
Our most popular activities are diving and snorkelling. All guests are free to enjoy Wakatobi's extensive 6km House Reef. Wade in from the beach, or walk to the end of the Resort jetty to discover an intriguing range of marine life. Between the beach and drop off is a vast ecosystem of turtle grass shallows and isolated coral heads that create a rich environment for odd and beautiful creatures. Right around the jetty, snorkelers will find numerous varieties of colourful anemones and their attendant clownfish. A swim around the coral heads and bottom will reveal frogfish, stonefish, moray eels, blue spotted stingrays, crocodile-fish, cuttlefish, ghost pipefish, jawfish, shrimp and goby pairs.
"We came to Wakatobi to see world class coral, and it delivered that by the bucket load. The icing on the cake is the fantastic service provided by each and every member of the team. It’s hard to believe we could find a better snorkelling experience anywhere else in the world.”

We are both thrilled with the level of service, the quality of the accommodation, the magnificent diving, the snorkelling adventures, the sunset drinks on the jettybar, the divine beauty and body treatments at the spa and above all, the friendliness and smiles of the many staff around the resort. Each and every one of them has made this a very special time for us. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. A truly unique holiday experience! Once will not be enough!

We had great snorkelling guides. Many resorts say they welcome snorkelers but really we often do not get respect as snorkelers. However at Wakatobi we were treated extremely well. We have snorkeled in Belize, Hawaii, Fiji, the Great Barrier Reef etc. Wakatobi is fantastic and we have enjoyed our time here. It has the best snorkelling sites we have ever seen.
